JOB DESCRIPTION


Role: Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst


Location: Bengaluru


Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of consumer credit data to major credit bureaus in the US. This role demands a strong understanding of credit reporting regulations, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain compliance and enhance reporting processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Credit Data Management:

  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate consumer credit information in accordance with company policies and credit bureau standards.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across internal systems and reporting platforms.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit periodic credit reports to major US credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax).

  • Monitor and validate successful transmission of data files and address any reporting issues promptly.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant credit reporting laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

  • Ensure all reporting and dispute resolution activities align with compliance and data protection requirements.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve credit reporting discrepancies and consumer disputes using e-Oscar.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to validate information and provide timely responses to bureaus.

Analysis and Improvement:

  • Analyze credit data to identify reporting trends, anomalies, and process improvement opportunities.

  • Recommend and implement system or procedural enhancements to improve data quality.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Partner with IT, Risk, and Customer Service teams to improve reporting workflows and data integrity.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, methodologies, and compliance actions.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in US credit reportingdata analysis, or financial services.

  • Proven experience managing e-Oscar disputes and handling consumer credit data.

  • Strong understanding of credit bureau reporting standards and US regulatory requirements (FCRA).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQLExcel, and other data management tools.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a keen eye for accuracy and compliance.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work independently with minimal supervision.
