JOB DESCRIPTION


Role: Credit Risk Sr. Manager (Canada)

Location: Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-Time


We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Manager to lead the credit risk management function at Zolve. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, managing, and mitigating the credit risk exposure of the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure sound credit risk policies and practices are in place, enabling us to grow responsibly and sustainably.



RESPONSIBILITIES


Credit Risk Assessment

  • Evaluate and monitor the creditworthiness of existing and prospective consumers.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess credit risk.

  • Provide recommendations regarding credit limits, terms, and conditions based on risk assessments.

Credit Risk Strategy and Policy

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine credit risk management policies and procedures.

  • Ensure alignment of credit risk strategy with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Advise senior management on potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Risk Monitoring and Reporting

  • Continuously monitor credit risk exposures to ensure compliance with internal risk limits and policies.

  • Prepare regular credit risk reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key risk indicators, trends, and potential issues.

  • Implement and manage automated systems and tools for monitoring and reporting on credit risk metrics.

Credit Bureau Reporting

  • Oversee and manage the monthly and quarterly submission of credit data to all major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion).

  • Ensure accurate reporting of consumer credit information, including payment histories, credit limits, balances, and account statuses.

  • Work with IT and data management teams to ensure credit information systems are accurate and fully integrated with bureau reporting mechanisms.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as underwriting, sales, finance, and legal teams to manage credit risk across the organization.

  • Engage with external partners such as credit agencies, auditors, and regulators to stay updated on market trends and industry best practices.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Ensure credit risk practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, including any local or regional rules affecting credit risk management.

Training and Development

  • Provide guidance and training to junior risk analysts and other relevant departments on credit risk management best practices and policies.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments by attending relevant conferences and continuing education programs.



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management, financial analysis, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, credit scoring models, and risk mitigation techniques. And proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SQL.
